Duplicate Validation / Delete and Replace Button

Hi All, Im very new to Infopath. I am designing a timesheet / timecard for my team in which I need to capture details on time spent on each activity. I have linked my infopath form to an access database which will help me to maintain / query and report data as required. If you are providing any answer in code please explain as if you were explaining it to George W Bush (slow, step by step). There are 2 main issues which I need to deal with right now 1) I need to check the form for duplicate information, mainly in 2 fields i.e. Date and Project Name. Not sure how to configure this control in my form. After doing some google, I managed to go through this: http://salnikan.wordpress.com/2011/07/26/prevention-of-duplicate-entries-based-on-two-or-more-columns-in-a-sharepoint-list/ but the problem is that this solution does not work for the date field 2) Delete and replace In case a team member submits incorrect information, I would need them to re-submit the form data and replace the original entry, however when I use the Delete and Replace button, it asks me to run a query on the data first. When I tried the generic button (Run Query), the form was updated with information of the entire (Main) database. I want the form to query data only for the specific date and project name, restricted only to the team member and not any one else. It will be very helpful if someone can please help on this...urgently!!! spent 2 days trying to solve these!
