A client, Infopath 2007 form uses QueryDB (qRules version 5.1) to retrieve data from existing
SQL database to pre-populate the form on page load.
I added a new field to the pre-existing data fields of the
form and the SQL database, then attached the modified template to DAT tool,
saved, then reshredded all documents with success. The problem is existing forms (forms that
are already submitted to SharePoint library via DBXL) do not retrieve the new column value
and insert into the new field of form. New forms do retrieve
the new column value and insert into new field of form . This behavior was happening in Design Preview mode
but I’d hoped it would fix itself after reshredding the existing documents. Not so.
I did not add the new field to the DAT tool SharePoint mapping because it is not necessary to promote the new field to the SharePoint library.
Form Options Versioning is set to Automatically upgrade existing forms on version upgrade.
In QueryDB data connection, I updated GetColumnXMLStrQuery with the new column.
Is there another data connection or rule I need to update to get existing forms to update with the new column/field value when they are re-opened?
