    Code Behind Button Rules

Hi there, I've created an infopath form and on it are some buttons with rules set to push data from one field to another depending on certain values.

Can you tell me if there is a way to view these rules in code form?

I'm used to work in access, where if you create a button using wizards, you can go in and see the underlying code for whatever formula you've set in the button. Just wondering if there is a way to do this in infopath too. I hope I've made it clear what I'm after.

    Thanks.

    Re: Code Behind Button Rules

    Hi edove,

I believe the rules that InfoPath creates from the wizard dialog boxes are stored as XSL prodecures, so there is no way to see them in code form. However, there are several examples of performing this operations on the form's fields scattered throughout our forums. Try doing a search for "set field" or "update field with code" to see one of these.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi edove,
You can view the Rules code by opening the manifest.xsf file of the solution. But to open the manifest you have to "File->Extract Form Files".
