We have a production Sharepoint 2010 site with an Infopath 2010 template Document library. We can create a new form, publish back to the library and click on the document links to edit an existing form.
I created a new Infopath form and published it to a Document library on a test Sharepoint site we also have. I was able to successfully open a new form from the library, fill it out and publish it. Once I tried clicking on the form link to re-open it from the library, I got a browser window with the XML data. I did not change any configuration settings that I am aware of doing this.
Going back to the PRODUCTION Sharepoint, the documents there are now also opening a browser window with XML data instead of the form.
If I click on the edit properties menu and select "Edit in Microsoft Office Infopath" the form opens fine and I am able to edit it, and submit successfully.
Everyone else that uses the Production library, continues to work correctly as always.
I can confirm that Infopath is set as my default program for .xml file types. The library is not set to enable browser as we use the Infopath client to open/display/ After a long time trying to fix my single client, I am at a loss.
Thanks for any helpful input/feedback.
