This issue only happens on one users machine who recently upgraded to Win 7 and IE 9. He cannot open any Infopath forms In SharePoint 2007.
The templates that he access are typicall full trust (I know I know Patrick), and have simple code behind (like this.print()), and ARE NOT compatible with browser. All our infopath forms are client side only. The error message is trying to open his forms in the browswer instead of opening Infopath 2007 which IS installed on his machine. I had him open IP 2007 with no problelm.
"This form template is not currently browser-enabled. It must either be republished as a browser-enabled form, or opened using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007."
The ULS logs are not helpful, here's a sample: 12/09/2013/08:03:16.80 w2wp.exe(0x0CD0) OxOAA4 CMS Publishing 0 Unexpected XXX /siteName/subSiteName/fromLibraryName/Forms/AllItems.aspx is a descendent of /purchasing/travel - True).
How do I get his machine to open infopath form template on client side? Is this an IE9 setting?
Update: I have not resolved this yet, am awaiting to gain access to user's machine but will try changing Compatilibty View Settings in IE9 to affect a change and will report back with results.
Update2: solution described in first update did not change behavior. Things I tried:
I logged on as two other users from same machine and all works as expected for the 2 other users. Only this one user is experiencing error message.
I inspected this users InfoPath cache but it was empty.
I opened up services.msc on local machine. Status for Webclient was blank (not started) so I started service but this affected no change.
Should the user's InfoPath cache have followed his profile when converting to Win 7?
Help.
