a co-worker has written an infopath 2010 application with a workflow. It is published to a sp 2010 forms library.
When "new document" on the forms library is used, the form displays. One can fill in the form and submit, and a new xml file is created as expected - also, a task for the approval step is created.
When the task assignee opens their task, they see the data entered. They enter their information and click approve.
This is where the issue occurs. No error is produced.
However, the form library XML file is not updated as we expect. If we view the xml file either as a form or as text, the changes made by the task assignee are not present.
The task assignee has approve permissions on the library.

What else might we be missing?

Can it be something with the onLoad() not opening the correct view after the approver approved it? Maybe the onload() is referencing to a certain view? Just a thought...

The view being shown appears to be correct in our examination of the application.
