Hello
I am currently working on modifying our existing infopath 2007 forms. One of the requirements is to improve the performance on page load for existing forms that have several attachments. For this particular form, users can attach a maximum of 6 files. The request was, instead of attaching files to the form (currently done via file attachment controls), links to the files must be inserted instead. I found out that if I were to go with this solution, I would have to create a seperate document library in Sharepoint, upload the document there and then get the link and paste in my form. This is possible though coding, but I am not too familiar with coding infopath forms so will use this solution.
One other solution I have is to create a seperate view for my file attachments. I will just have a button in my main view to direct users to the file attachment view to add files. Will this approach improve performance in terms of form load time? What approaches have you used for this issue of attaching alot of files with the form?
Thank you all in advance for your assistance
regards
