    SharePoint 2007

I know we are behind on versions, but I have to work with what we got.  I need to create a form to that people can enter in various types of information about contact.  Keywords will be assigned to each of these individuals.  Once data entry is done, I need a search box that will allow them to search the information that was entered into the form.  This will be used on our intranet to help employees be more productive and helping customers find the information and contacts they need right away.  Would an infoPath form be the right way to go to get this done?

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

    Hello Michelle,

SharePoint 2007 is still being used by many, and still works for storing various types of information, so it should not be much of a problem. However, I can't say that InfoPath is the only right way, but definitely InfoPath can send the data over, and allow you to search for these items by filtering your query. If you want to take a quick glimpse, I recommend viewing this webinar which discusses Secondary Data Connections and Filters. Hope this helps.
