Using CopyTable command with secondary data source table

    Hi,

I'm trying to copy a table from a secondary data source (populated using DBXL GetColumnsXMLStrQuery) from a SQL datatable into a repeating table in the main data source.  When I right click on the group just before the repeating node, this is my XPath: /dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetColumnsXMLStrQueryResponse/tns:GetColumnsXMLStrQueryResult/Rows.  The XPath for the destination table is this: /my:myFields/my:group1/my:group2, group2 is the repeating section containing the discrete fields.

    Here's my command: CopyTable /dsnamesrc=GetColumnsXMLStrQuery /tablesrc=/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetColumnsXMLStrQueryResponse/tns:GetColumnsXMLStrQueryResult/Rows /rowsrc=row tabledest=/my:myFields/my:group1 /rowdest=my:group2

I'm getting an error saying "Required parameter unspecified: tabledest.  I don't see what's wrong.  Please help.

You are missing the forward slash before the tabledest param.

The proverbial snake would've bit me.

    Thanks.

Ok, now I'm getting an error about source and destination must contain the same number of elements.  So I assume by this that I can't load a subset of data with CopyTable?  If not, is there another method where I can assign the row number of the records retrieved using a default value formula?

With copy table, your source and destination must have the same number of elements (fields). So in your 2ds query, how many columns are there? If there are 5, you need 5 in your destination.
