OMG Help please :-)__access Infopath question

     Hi all!

Okay a little background.  I have a form I created that one person places information into so that product can be ordered--when they submit that request the form (read only view not attachment) is sent to the person who keys it into the ordering system, the form also lets us know when they need, gift boxing steaming etc.   Several fields in my form populate an access database which formulates our workflow for keying etc.  I test it from my computer it works fine--some people get it to work but others on submitting get error--it appears that access is timing out before the fields can be submitted or I have done something wrong (could be either).  Any ideas?

I know it might be easier to use SharePoint for workflow and have it filter there but we don't have the enterprise edition (and I hear I need that to make it work with InfoPath) and they aren't planning to do that--but if that will work with what I have someone just needs to tell me how.

Another weird error is that the name of the email I am using a Concat formula for most it works great for others it says "concat (section, Team, @companyname,@toCustby) " which is my formula--any idea's on why that would be?

I am using Infopath2010 if that helps

Thanks guys---I love how our form looks on this rather than on excel which is what we were using but I have to get this bug worked out if possible!

What is the error the users get? A lot of times there is a details button on the error dialogs you can click to get more information. I've not heard of a formula being returned as a value some of the time - is everyone using the same version of Office? Maybe you could attach a screen shot or two under the Options tab in a reply?

     Thanks Hilary!!!

I am attaching some screen shots--yes we are all finally on the same version of Office 2010.   I only know that the error we are getting is Access since the other submit is a email submit and that worked....

Hmmm. Yuck. I usually start by trying to figure out if errors are related to users or machines. So I'd take a user the form is failing for, and have them log in (as themselves) on a machine where I know the form submits successfully for a different user. Does it still fail? If so, you can start looking at user permissions / settings. If not, it would likely be something on the user's machine.

Thanks Hilary!!!  I do appreciate the help!  I will have them do that.  It seems to be a random error works for some people sometimes then a hour later same  person same machine it doesn't.  It might be a network thing...our access can be slow depending on how many people are accessing it at any given time so it just might be a time out type of issue.  I have removed the access submit for now since it will drive people back to the horrible excel form.  I am going to tinker with this and try adding back in my access submit when it seems to be running faster.  In the mean time I can manually add the info into access.

    Thanks again!!!!
