Mandatory fields depending on what value will be selected in first field - ho to do this?

HI everyone, I need your help :) I have a form which has a REQUEST TYPE field (drop-down list) with 4 possible values. Depending on which value will be selected there is a different set of fields to fill in. I would like to set some fields mandatory and here I have a problem. I tried to use rules describe here: http://designshare.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/creating-conditonally-required-fields-in-infopath/ but it doesn't work. Let's take an example from attachment. I have a field Request type with 2 possible values ADD and CHANGE. I also have 6 fields depending of the value in field REQUEST TYPE. What should be done to: 1. make fields A, AA and AAA obligatory if value in filed 'Request type' will be 'Add' but not required if value in filed 'Request type' will be 'Change' 2. make fields C,CC and CCC obligatory if value in filed 'Request type' will be 'Change' but not required if value in filed 'Request type' will be 'Add' Could anyone resolve my problem? ps. Example attached thank you in advance

I've attached a screenshot showing the custom validation rule conditions for field3 in your sample that would achieve this.

I don't understand how to this to get it working. Can I have more information? As I understand it I Should use: 1. Validation rule 2. Set the above condition 3. ? I attached example with the above condition.

Yes. You need to add a validation rule. Use the conditions I am showing in the screenshot. Set the validation message. You need to do that for all fields concerned. I'm attaching your sample with this logic in place for field3 & field6 and drug all the fields onto the form so you can see the validation change based on your drop down selection.
