I have used IP2003 for many years and just started using IP2010. One thing I hated in IP2003 and am now starting to hate in IP2010 is the difficulty in trying to get controls to line up and look nice.
Why are a Combo Box and a Text Box, with the same font size selected, different heights? How do I make them the same? I can't change the Combo Box, why is it so big compared to the font size? If you say I should make the Text Boxes the same size as the Combo Box, how do I make the Text Box size automatically the larger size when I select the font size? If I can't that sucks! I have potentially hundreds of Text Boxes to enter and I have to go into each one and set the size?
Why when I look at the Combo Box in the Design mode do I see the boarder on the left side of the the drop down arrow but it is missing when I look at it in preview mode?
These are just a couple questions I have come across in the first couple of hours I've been making this new form. I dread what I will run into when I get to the real tough stuff!
When will they make something that should be nearly brainless to accomplish, i.e. aligning controls, easy? I shouldn't have to think much about it but I do!
