 When I submit the form to a SharePoint list, by default it uses the Name field for the File name in the SharePoint list. How do I specify a different field and make it clickable to open the form?

2 answers.. 1.. how do you specify a different field.. This happen in the form options .. Property Promotion.. you can name the field what ever you want. 2. "clickable" happens in sharepoint.. you Modify your view... and select "Name" (link and edit menu) That will give you the file name with a link to it. Having said that.. these are 2 different things.. you cannot do both.. You can just use the "name' with link and edit menu and then just change the "label" of the field.. That also happens in sharepoint. List settings. Good luck

So once I use the "Name" with link and edit menu for the Filename, how do I just change the "label" of the field. In the List settings it does not allow me to change the label of the Name field. It is greyed out. Preferably a solution without code or SP Designer. Thanks.

If your column name is "greyed" out.. it indicated that it is a column that you created when you promoted it from infopath.. if that is the case go into "form options" > promotion properties> find the field you are referring to and "modify" in the settings there .. you will find a "display name' field.. you can change it there.
