Developer Problem - InfoPath 2010 Form firing off InfoPath 2007 as default

    Hello,

I have both InfoPath 2007 and InfoPath 2010 on my machine as I still have to maintain a few old forms.

My issue only exists for me.  All users are able to use this form in SharePoint.

I have developed a International Travel Request (ITR) form in InfoPath 2007.  We used this for about 3 years.

Last month everyone was upgraded to Office 2010.  Thus everyone had Office 2007 removed.  I as the developer still have both.

I was requested to upgrade the form to use 2 people pickers (InfoPath 2010 Only).

I upgraded form and deployed to SharePoint site and form works fine.

When I work on the ITR Form in InfoPath 2010 and use Preview to test, everything works fine.

When I go to SharePoint site and fire off a new form it fires off InfoPath 2007 interface and I get:

Form template: http://thehub/forms/International Travel Request New/Forms/template.xsn
The form template was created with a newer version of InfoPath.
This form template was created by InfoPath version 14.0.0.

So, my problem is how can I tell my machine to now use InfoPath 2010 as the default?

    Thx,

     PAW

I actually have virtual machines I use for my older versions of IP so that I don't have to have both on the same machine. You may want to try opening InfoPath 2010 filler and then going to the Open menu and entering the URL of the template.

    Hilary,

That works so I can see that InfoPath 2010 Filler is working with this form.

Is this a known problem and I need to remove InfoPath 2007 in order to make InfoPath 2010 Filler the default?

Is there something in SharePoint or in InfoPath that you know of can be set to make InfoPath 2010 Filler default application?

    Cheers,

    PAW

I don't know off hand - hopefully someone else will. If you remove IP 2007, IP 2010 will be the default. I really try to avoid having more than one version of IP on my machine, so don't know of a good way to pick the default to use.
