Updating SQL server name in existing forms

I have been asked by my tech folks to update all the server calls in my forms from the actual server name to using an alias.  The reason for this is so when they need to update or replace the server, all forms will continue to work with the alias.

I know the alias works because I have built a form from scratch but I cannt not find a way to update the data connection name with the alias.

Does anyone have any clues for me?

    Thanks

    Thank you for your Help.

I would suggest extracting the source files of each form and searching the manifest.xsf file for your form for the server name, then searching the manifest.xsf file of your test form for the alias. If they occur in similar contexts, then you can try replacing the server name with the alias name in your actual form's manifest and then reconstituting the form by right-clicking the manifest and selecting Design.
