    Form name Change after submit

Hi, We use INFOPATH for many forms in our health facility, one of these is as a purchase order which works very well.

We have been asked by our auditors to have the form as a Requisition for general staff to complete and submit.

Is there any way to have the form name change from Requisition to Purchase Order when the submit button is hit so it can be forwarded on or printed by Admin staff only.

    Thanks for any help

    Cheers

Hi - so, what do you mean by the form name? Would this be a heading in the form UI itself? If so, you could use an expression box or an alternate view - add a field to the main data source to keep track if the form has been submitted (I usually name mine "Status" and set it as part of my submit rules).

    Hi Hillary

The form name is in the header at the top (Official Purchase Order)

What we would like to do is call the form (Requisition Order) and when submitted to  Administration for processing  the form would change to (Official Purchase Order)

The form can then be faxed to suppliers etc.

If you have a fix can you please explain it in simple terms, I am quite new to this.

thank you so much for replying:)

     I would do the following:

    1. Add a field to the form's data source (doesn't have to show on the form!) called "Status"
    2. When the user submits to Administration for processing, set the field called "Status" to "Submitted"
    3. Put two calculated values (expression boxes) at the top of the form, formatted to look like your current header
    4. Hide the one that says "Requisition Order" when "Status" is blank
    5. Hide the one that says "Official Purchase Order" when "Status" is not blank

Status could also be a Boolean, you could just set it to true when submitted, but you may want to track other statuses in the future...

    Hope that helps!
