    AJAX Call to DBXL

Is it possible to connect to DBXL from a page within SharePoint using JavaScript? I've attempted to do so but keep receiving "400 bad request" errors from the console. I've searched but can't find any information on accessing the system from outside infopath. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

    Hi-

We have a document on submitting to DBXL from an ASP.NET web page: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/other_subjects/entry74140.aspx

If you need more information, please contact us via our support email address. Thanks!

    Thanks Ernesto,

I took a look at the document, and it answer another future question I had.

The problem I'm currently trying to solve is calling on QueryDB to retrieve records from the database using a JavaScript call. Have you guys tried this before?

I figured it out. I was able to set up a simple call to the GetDBXLVersion method.

After I was able to get the DBXL version call to work, I had my structure figured out correctly, so that meant I could apply it to the other call.At first it didn't work so I started looking into the web service itself.

There are 2 calls to pull from QueryDB, GetColumnsXMLQuery and GetColumnsXMLStrQuery. I was originally using the second, since that's what I use in InfoPath, but the difference is that the second takes the XML query as a string, and the first uses un-escaped XML which is what I was trying to pass.

Now I'm able to return to a simple page ~16,000 records in under 10 seconds.
