    Signatures in Multiple Places

Hello all, I have a form with about 5 views that each contain different parts of the form. View 5 is the print/archive view that shows everything from views 1-4 on a single page. I currently have users fill out each of the views necessary (ex. User 1 fills out View 1, User 2 fills out View 2, etc.) and sign the section at the bottom of each view. The problem I am having is I cannot find a way to make the signatures show up in the print/archive view after it is signed at the bottom of the form. I have tried creating signature line control and making a submit button point to the signature line in the print/archive view but this doesn't work because the signature line has to be in the same view. I have also tried binding a textbox to the signature group but because it's a signature, binding to anything is not allowed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi JSmithicus1 and welcome,

Here's an easy workaround. Put everything in one view. Separate pages are in separate "sections". Add formatting rules to each section to hide it if it's not supposed to be visible (or if it's not the print mode). In print mode, all are visible. The signature appears at the bottom and is for the entire doc (or separate sections), but they'll now show in the print view.

You can copy the views in - just create a section in the default view (typically, click on the group node in the data source and choose just "Section" to insert a default section with no controls. Go to the other view. Press ctrl-a to select all and ctrl-c to copy. Switch back to the initial view and put your cursor in the new section. Press ctrl-v. Select the section and add rules to it.

Pretty simple to do. Should be 30 minutes max.

    Happy trails!

Thanks for the response, Patrick! Your idea seems promising. I'm going to try and implement it ASAP and report back. Thank you!

Worked pretty well! It took me a while to fix the formatting and remap/implement all the rules, but I'm almost done now! Thanks again, Patrick!
