Editing form after submission, Digital Signature Lock

    Hello all,

I figured my way through Infopath and have been able to make my form, after submission to sharepoint, certain areas are locked and certain ones are not. But have ran accross two issues:

Is there a way to then after submission to lock the editable areas?

Another thing is, i have found that since the entire form isnt locked that the digital signatures are removable. Is there a way to keep one section editable but make the digital signatures restricted from removal?

    Hi Michael and welcome,

You could create a separate view and switch to that view when they open the form (add an on load rule) and that view can be parked as Read Only (ShP 2010/2013 feature) and that would prevent removal of the digisig and editing of the other fields.

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes i know of the way to lock the entire form but I need some fields semi editable after submission. Which is where the problem is. I want to then after they fill out the editable forms from the submitted, to be able to lock that down and make it where the digsigs are not removable.

You can either digisig the entire form or separate sections but the latter only works for rich client.

You can provide sections that are not signed for editing after other sections have been signed and you can do successive lockdown using formatting rules, etc. Just check if the digisig fields exist. You may need to use a special xpath to do this since the fields under the signature groups don't show up.
