I have the following Data Validation set up on a field



This doesn't work quite like I would like it to. How would I create Data Validation to behave like:

(PASS0DissapproveAction = "4-Close PDR" OR CustomerDisapproveAction = "6-Close PDR" OR BusinessDisapproveAction = "4-Close PDR) AND ReasonForClose = ""

This question has probably been answered before but I was unable to find anything when searching through the forums.

For above validation you need add three validations like:

1. ReasonForClose = "" and PASS0DissapproveAction = "4-Close PDR"
2. ReasonForClose = "" and CustomerDisapproveAction = "6-Close PDR"
3. ReasonForClose = "" and BusinessDisapproveAction = "4-Close PDR

This does not appear to work. It appears that it is treating each line as an 'AND' and not an 'OR' so unless all of the validations resolve to true the field is not required.

I have done many times in InfoPath these types of validation conditions. For every validation as treated as ‘OR#%92 only. Can you check your validation condition once again.

Sorry about that, I had the fields wrong in the validation. It does work correctly.
