I have a person/group picker field in which I enter a person's name and then click the Check Names button. The name shows fine. I have a checkbox as my next field that when checked sets a value to "Yes". When I click the checkbox, the person/group picker value is erased and I need to do it again. It looks like a postback. It didn't do this in 2007. This is after a very recent upgrade from 2007 to 2010. Is there a way to prevent the field value from being removed? Thanks!

I figured out that the rules that were placed in this form cause the behavior and they had to remain in place due to requirements.  So, I have a solution if anyone else bumps into this problem.  I added a new text field and in the properties of the text box I placed the DisplayName of the People Picker as the value.  I also checked to Refresh the value when formula is recalculated.  This now retains the value I have in the People Picker. Finally, I created a formatting rule to hide the field on a condition.
