    Switch from JScript to VBScript

    Hi

I have a form that i creating with default settings. The default settings were JScript as the scripting language.

I have modeled and created the data source, created the layout and now i want to code. But i want to code in VBScript.

When i try to change the settings it is locked to JScript.

I don't want to put a lot of time again creating the form from scratch again.

Is there a way to change script from Jscript to Vbscript. I have not written any code yet.

    Thanks

If you haven't written any code at all you should be able to change the language under Tools::Form Options. What might have happened is that you accidentally clicked a button which added some stub code into the solution in JScript. To fix this you will need to remove that code entirely. In InfoPath 2007 there is a button to remove code. In InfoPath 2003 if there is no such button (I don't remember) then you'll have to manually remove it.

You can do this by Saving the extracted source files from the File menu. Then in that folder you will have to manually delete the code files along with deleting the references to those files in the manifest.xsf file.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi rajthayi,

in my opinion the easiest way to do this (and I have tried it by myself ;-)): You can extract your files and manually edit them. In the manifest.xsf file, you will find an <xsf:scripts> tag. Remove this and you will be able to select another language.
You might want to clean up the .js files too, but you don't have to.
