Initial submit to DBXL linked to SharePoint doc library

Is there a setting I'm missing that submits a form linked to a SharePoint 2010 document library as the current user?  With my current solution, it's submitting as System Account instead of the current user.  This is causing all kinds of problems with workflow.

    Please advise and thanks.

I think this is by design. When using the sandbox, users authenticate as the service account (whether it’s qRules or custom code).

A quick way to test would be to use a form with custom code (not qRules) and see whether it also submits as System Account,.

Ok, so I'm trying to use the SubmitAsUser qRules command.  I quickly found it needed to be deployed as admin-deploy, so I got that accomplished.  My problem is in DAT where the content type URL is input, how do I change that for admin deployed forms?

I think the URL looks something like this: http://<servername>/FormServerTemplates/<FormName>.xsn

But, to be sure, you could open a blank, new form (for the admin deployed form) and check the XSNLocation parameter (in the URL bar). This should give you the exact URL to the XSN.

Re: Initial submit to DBXL linked to SharePoint doc library

Ok, now I'm totally hosed.  I tried converting the data connection to a UDCX file that connects to a secure store service I established for GetUserInfo, GetMyInfo, and GetManagerAlias, and while it works, it still submits with a System Account username in the Modified By column.  So, I went back to a full trust form using SubmitAsUser in qRules.  published the form, uploaded and activated to the site collection, changed the libraries to use the content type, and mapped the path to the form in DAT.  Now I get this error:

A form template (.xsn) file cannot be accessed. You may not have the required permissions to open the file.

    What am I missing?

I've seen this (a long time ago!) and the problem was permissions on the folder where the XSN was deployed.

So take the path to the XSN (XSNlocation), remove the template.xsn portion at the end, and then navigate to that page in the browser. Basically, I recall there was somewhere where you could grant permissions to the location that stores the admin deployed form templates.

I checked the folder where the form is published, and it's the same as the site collection, so permissions shouldn't be an issue.  I did change the library to open in the browser only, and it seems that's when the trouble started.  I changed the library setting back to the default, and changed the location to a physical folder on the server, which worked yesterday.  Now, it still throws the same error.  Not sure what to do next.

SubmitAsUser will submit to SharePoint using the specified user account.  You will need to use the InfoPath username() function to properly identity the current user.

Are you needing to submit to DBXL?  SubmitAsUser saves only to SharePoint.  You can use the DBXL SubmitDocumentAsUser web method if needing to submit to DBXL.  You would use a UDCX in the same manner for making that web method call.

And when setting up the Secure Store application credentials, make sure you specify credentials different than the system account.
