    Sharepoint 2013 and injected forms

My org is gearing up to move from Sharepoint 2010 to 2013 and I've heard they won't support 3rd party software, at least not initially. I don't know enough about the back-end stuff to say whether or not this means my qRules-injected forms will stop working or not. In my mind, these forms are relatively self-contained, but do they do anything invasive beyond that? Once migrated to 2013 will these forms still work? I'd just like to be prepared when this goes down (in another month or so).

    Hi Chris,

We released v5.1 to address the changes in SharePoint 2013. You'll want to download v5.1 and use it to reinject qRules into your forms. First, open the forms with InfoPath 2013 Designer and save them as 2013 forms. Then, run the qRules injector.

SharePoint 2013 is a huge change. We've been grappling with it. Office 365 multiple tenancy sites are all running the latest sandbox and qRules works as expected there, but SharePoint 2013 standalone still has some bug and qRules' SaveToSharePoint command doesn't work in sandbox (you will have to admin deploy if you use this command).

If you were able to publish for 2010 (as site collection admin), you should be able to re-inject qRules and publish to 2013. The only major gap right now is SaveToSharePoint and that's for standalone ShP only - O365 works just fine.

    Hopefully, this explains something ...

Yes, thanks, I think as long as I re-inject as 2013 things should be fine. I now wonder, though, if there will be issues because our org doesn't upgrade all Office products simultaneously. So I'll still have IP2010 when SP2013 is released. But I have made sure I will continue to have Site Collection admin rights in the new environment so I'm hoping everything will continue to work as expected.
