What could be a reason one manager ser gets a blank form when they open a DBXL form?  This manager user has permission to sharepoint library and Add and Write permission in the Permission tab of DAT tool.

The form opens correctly for me (an Admin) an for other users.  I am at loss for why this behaves this way for one person only.  We are using SP and IP 2007.  This user is using Win 7 machine.

If it were a problem with the doctype or document permissions, my experience is the user would get a page not found. That is, the form won't open at all, since they don't have permissions to that XML file.

If the form is opening and it is completely blank, then I believe we must look at the form design first. Could you attach that so we may take a look? Thanks.

Thank you Ernesto.  Form is attached.  Would you make sure the template isn't accessible publicly?

 Thanks. Could you also attach a screenshot (or describe) what the user sees? Is it a completely blank page, or does the user see the form controls and they are empty?

Also, I misread the original message. When you say "Add and Write permission in the Permission tab of DAT tool" - shouldn't the user also have Read permission?

As for your suggestion that user should have Read, my DAT screenshot shows it checked, but is grayed out so I'm not sure if that means it's disabled or what....

I didn't have the answer to your first question, contacted user, he said that the header info is blank, but the rest of the information is there (the questions in each section).  He also said he can open it from another machine with the header info intact, but he couldn't save the form so I think maybe I need to investigate this further before you spend any time on it.

After meeting with user and watching form open behavior on users  Win 7 machine, the form opens from link that provides input parameter to retrieve header info but header info is missing.  The form correctly retrieves the questions in each section.

The form opens correctly from another Win 7 machine when this user is logged on as himself - both the header info and questions are intact.

Things I tried were to clear IE cache and InfoPath cache, restarted machine.  This did not change form open behavior for this user.  The header info is still missing.

Ernesto, can you suggest any other things for me to try?  Perhaps I didn't fully clear the cache?  What do you think?

As a side note, I discovered two other issues with the form in troubleshooting this issue but I will post as a new issue.

If it's a single machine anomaly, I suggest:

1. make sure that the website is in the local intranet
2. repair Office
