    Auto Populate other fields based on Employee ID

     I have a IP form list that I would like the end user to enter the employees id's(which is stored in a data connection library UDCX file) then have the other fields, employee name, managers name(stored in the same UDCX file) auto populate based on employees id.  I have created the a query and set field values, but when I do a preview and enter an employee id the other fields are not populating.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for any help.

    Hi Bjxj08 and welcome,

    If you are using the browser, it may be as simple as right clicking the employee ID field and clicking Browser tab and selecting the option for "always" post back.

    If that doesn't fix the issue, make sure the value exactly matches and that you are setting the query field before you query it.

    Should be a quick fix.

     I used a data connection to a SQL view to and queried the information.

    I was wondering if you can guide me on how to do something like that. I wand to be able to just type in the employee Id and for it to autopopulate the additional information like (name, title, department, phone, email etc) in a repeating table. Is it something that I can do in InfoPath 2013 using sharepoint online?
