Rule entered with three or conditions is split into three separate rules

I'm  wondering why InfoPath separates a rule in which I entered multiple conditions into separate rules?  In this example, the three conditions are "OR" conditions but I believe this same thing has happened when I have "And" or a combination of "And" and "Or".  Examples attached.

Hi - I believe that is by design. Those conditions look fine to me though - are you having issues hiding your control based on that formatting rule?

    Hi Mary Ann,

It is the same Rule, it is just showing you that there are 3 conditions.  The conditions are in blue, justified to the right of these conditions you see the words 'or' in black, if you had and conditions there they would say and.

The previous response saying this is by design is correct.

    Cheers

You should see a difference depending on whether the rules are connected by "Or" or "And" logical

operators. You can easily test this with conditions such as

"1=1" Or "1=2" (should evaluate as true since the first condition is true, i.e. the condition is fulfilled, formatting executed)

"1=1" And "1=2" (should evaluate as false, since the second conditions is false, i.e. the condition is not fulfilled, formatting not executed)
