Open remotely an infopath form using Data connection connecting via SSO

    Good morning,

I have a question related to an Infopath form where data connection use SSO to connect to the SQL databases.

    Here is the background:

We have an infopath form (2010) published on a SharePoint form library (2010). This form contains repeating table which retrieves data from SQL databases using data connections.

We got some complaints from users saying that the more they add a new row in the repeating table, the heavier it becomes.

To solve this issue, instead of changing the design of the form itself, we decided to create a remote application which opens the form (published on Sharepoint) on a terminal server.

Why on a terminal server? it's because the local version of infopath (2003) is older than the published version (2010)

    The command line is : infopath.exe "http://sharepointserver:port/template.xsn"

So when the user runs this remote application, it opens the published form on the terminal server.

    So far it's running ok.

The problem is that the data connections are using SSO to connect to the databases.

In case user is opening this form remotely, it seems that it's not the SSO which connects to the database but the user itself.

As the user doesn't have directly access to the database, we got the following error:

"The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: data_source_name

InfoPath cannot run the specified query.

[0x80040E09][Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'xxxx', database 'xxxx', schema 'dbo'."

I might try to think complicated, but is there any way to solve the SSO issue or a solution to open a published infopath form locally knowing that user doesn't have directly access to the databases?

    Many thanks for your advices.

    Aya

Hey, I'm getting this error as well. Was it in fact the user that connects to the database and not the SSO? If so, was this solved?
