I have a dropdown box in a repeating table. I need the drop down to default to the previous selection. So a user would pick the first drop down, then when it repeats, the dropdown is already selected the same as the first (but can be changed), and then it would repeat again and the third dropdown defaults to the second dropdown (but can be changed). Any idea? Thank you very much.

Set a default value formula on the node you bound the drop-down to, and turn off the check box which says to update it every time the value changes.

The default value would need to be set to something like:

../preceding-sibling::my:RowName[1]/my:FieldName
