Drop-down options in List customized in InfoPath pulls ID instead of Text

    Hoping Hilary can help:

I have a SP 2010 list I'm customizing in InfoPath.  I have a drop-down field with a data connection to another SP List (the field name I'd like is a lookup column to yet another SP list).  The drop-down is giving me the ID instead of name I've chosen.  I've reviewed all forums online but nothing has worked for me.

List I'm Customizing: Feedback Form.  Drop-down field in Feedback Form is "Course Name" that pulls from a Calendar List.  That Calendar List has a Course Name field that is a Lookup field on a Course List.

Seems like it should be simple but sure hasn't worked out - any suggestions?

So - the thing is, in a list form (or in a list) the value of a lookup column is going to be that item's list ID. I'm thinking you should be able to modify the dropdown control so that the value is the ID and the display is ... whatever field it is you want to display. Does that make sense?

But it sort of sounds like you are about 3 lists deep here - you may need to use the Course List list for the data source for your drop down and then add a filter to only show those that have been selected in the Calendar List ...
