 hello,

 I want my form to close after I hit the submit button, but that does not work.

I set it in Infopath:

- under Button properties -> Submits options -> Advanced -> After subimit -> Close the form.

 This gives no result.

So I try to change the properties of my webpart, but I am not able to change Submit Behavior since it's grayed out. 

How can I manage to change it? Or is there another way to close the form after a submit?

This doesn't sound like the expected behavior. If the button is set to close after submit, and the form isn't closing, there's a bug in the form somewhere. Want to attach it (under Options) for us to look at it?

 Before sending the complete infopath file I am sending you 2 screenshots to give a more detailed idea of the setting currently used.

Since you're performing a submit using rules, have you tried adding an action that closes the form (within your rules)?

 No I have not. How should I do this?

I know how to add an action (see screenshot), but there I can only choose Switch views, set a fields value, query for data, submit data, send data to webpart.

Next to Run These Actions, click Add, then select Close this form.

 I do not have this option. Please see screenshots attached.

 What about using a button type set to "Rules and Custom Code"?

 I am sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by "button type set"?

Right click on the button to access its Properties, then change the button type from Submit to "Rules and Custom Code".

 OK, I see what you mean. But...if I do that it's possible to send the form without all my validation rules having been checked.....

So how do I resolve this?

 Can anybody help me on this one?

Sorry, not sure what you mean. If a field is required, it will be required regardless of whether the form is submitted from the Ribbon, or from a Submit-type button or from a Submit button that uses rules.

Add a new button and set it to use Rules. Copy your Rules over to this new button and add the action to Close the form. I think that's all you need!

 The rules I defined are on the fields tehemselves, so I cannot copy them. Somehow when using the button with all empty vallues the form gets sentright away and there an error is shows. In fact it should not really submit it untill all validations on the fields have been passed. How can I resolve this?
