Document Info Panel Button for Document Review?

Trying to give our 700 users a quick button to have their report reviewed by their assigned editor.  Was thinking easiest and straightforward for end user way is to have a button on the DIP that sends the document to the assigned editor for review and comment.  I can't see how to get from the button to an actual actual like starting a document review workflow process.  Our agency are writers, not tech people.  We do not want them to do anything other than write and click a button.  Seems like focus is now on making everyone a programmer or tech saavy person to some larger degree.  The documents are done in Word hosted on a Sharepoint site.  Could I do a button that updates a field on the SP site which would then trigger a workflow to fire off?  If so, how do I make the button update a tickbox field?  Right now I have a workflow that fires off when a yes/no box is ticked..  Can I amke the button be the tick function and then use a SPD workflow or is there something in IP that can do such?

    Cheers

Yes, you should be able to do that. May require promoting the property from the DIP form so that the SPD workflow can see it.
