If [Date Field} is Blank Rule

    Hi,

I have the requirement from a user to say thay if [Date Field] is blank, set [Text Field] value as Not Started.

In the Rules on the Date Control, I have set up the rule:

If [Date Field] is blank, Set A Fields Value {Text Field] "Not Started] although when I run the form nothing is displayed in the text field.

Any idea why this is the case?

     Thanks - Rob

    Hi Rob,

The rule is not firing because the value in the field must change in order for the rule to fire. I'm guessing that if you add a date value and then clear it, the rule will fire and the text box will be set as expected.

If you need the rule to fire on load, take a look at the Form Load rules.

    Hope this helps.
