 I have made a new form with multiple types of control.

I entered my own value for drop down boxes and stuff.

I am wondering if I have to link all of my fields together to be able to submit this form to SharePoint?

If so, how do I accomplish this?

Hi Ace07,

To submit your form in SharePoint, you need to add a SharePoint submit data connection. If you're using InfoPath 2010, you can find that in Data tab -> Data Connections.

 Preview your form and fill it out. Then save it locally (File --> Save). Open the file with a text editor. You'll see XML. Any controls in your form that are bound to the main data source will save their values in the XML. This presupposes that you started with a new blank form for your template - is that the case? Or is this a SharePoint List template?

I opened it with word and all the things I typed in the fields in InfoPath showed up.

 Great! So - like Jo-Anne said, you just need to add a data connection to submit to a SharePoint Library. Publish the form to your library, then create a submit connection to the same library.
