Hi I'm new to InfoPath and was wondering if someone could tell me how I could create a button control that will publish the form to be in PDF form when clicked... this is not a web based form

There's nothing out of the box in InfoPath to allow this. You'll most likely need to search Google for a third party tool that allows you to convert to PDF.
