    That missing Microsoft.SharePoint.dll

Having a version problem with the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll that I need to solve an InfoPath updating a SharePoint list tutorial.

All the posts I've seen show me how to try find and set a reference to the  dll but when I do I'm not able to compile because the dll doesnt appear to be the correct version.

This is the message I get:

Warning    2    Resolved file has a bad image, no metadata, or is otherwise inaccessible. Could not load file or assembly 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI\Microsoft.SharePoint.dll' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.    DWC RFA

    I'm on Server 2012; SharePoint 2013; InfoPath 2010.

I'm wondering if the issue is actually the target framework for your IP project - is it set to .NET 2.0?

That definitly sounds like the issue to me.  But I'm not sure what flexibility I have in setting the framework.  I assumed it was at 2.0.  How can I confirm/change my IP setting for the framework version?

Right click the project in the solution explorer for the IP code and look at the properties - that should give you some options for changing the target framework.

I guess I would expect a "Compile" tab in the properties form but I don't see one.  I'm working in MS Visual Studio Tools for Applications.  Not regular Vistual Studio.  Is this where I'm supposed to be?  Sorry for the nube questions.

Here's the version of VSTA I'm using:

    Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
    Version 8.0.50727.4039  (QFE.050727-4000)
    Microsoft .NET Framework
    Version 2.0.50727 SP2

    Installed Edition: Express

    Microsoft Visual Basic 2005   82503-018-0000106-48166
    Microsoft Visual Basic 2005

    Microsoft Visual C# 2005   82503-018-0000106-48166
    Microsoft Visual C# 2005

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Applications   82503-018-0000106-48166
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Applications

Anyway, I don't see the "Compile" tab/setting available.
