Make default value of Following Sibling EQUAL the same value of the Preceding Sibling

    Hi,

I have a repeating section with a field "Priority". If someone enters "2" for the priority in the first entry of the repeating section, I want default value of "Priority" in the next section to be equal to "2".

I've tried using preceding-sibling::* to get this to work, but I'm running into errors.

     Thanks for the help!

     Best,

     JF

I've attached a sample - save it locally, right click and select design, then preview - I set the default so that priority will default to the priority of the immediately preceding group's field.

    You could do something like:

Create a helper field i.e. PriorityHelp (put this on your form so that you know what follows works)

On your field Priority create a rule which says if Priority is blank set field value of PriorityHelp to value of Priority.

    Test that the above works.

Then set the default value of the Priority field to PriorityHelp.
