Hello -

I'm using infopath with sql2000 database tables. When I modify the table schema in sql, how do I get the changes to reflect in the datasource in infopath?

Hello Wendy and welcome to our forum! To do this you go to "Tools::Convert Main Data Source". This will allow you to rebind to your SQL server and reimport the structure. Note, it will try to be smart about fixup and rebinding to existing nodes, rules, etc, but you will need to double check everything is working properly.

Thanks for responding. I figured it should be something that easy but I do NOT have a Tools::Convert Main Data Source option. Any ideas why? I'm using InfoPath 2003.

Yes, I'm in designer. I'm running InfoPath 2003 version 11.5531.5606.

Ah, that might explain it. You are running a very old verison of InfoPath. I encourage you to upgrade to SP 2 which includes a whole host of features you're missing out on (rules, calculations, performance improvements, bug fixes). You can get that release from the link on our home page or the Microsoft update site.
