hi, I have a requirement like, user after completing to fill out the form, is there anyway to convert that form into excel(if i have a button named as Convert to Excel).when the user clicks that button it should be able to convert it to excel with all the data. please any one help me out for this. thanks in advance.

There's nothing out of the box in InfoPath to achieve this. I don't know whether there's a way to achieve this using custom code or a third party tool.

If this is a SharePoint List Form (i.e. the form is submitting to a SharePoint list), then the users should be able to navigate to this SharePoint List and view the data in datasheet mode. Isn't that sufficient?

I'll just publish the form to sharepoint form library. There user picks out the form and fills it out.when he clicks the "Submit" button the data should be saved in the 'database' as well as export to 'Excel' i.e it should open the excel with submitted data.This generated excel file should be submited to another location.This is my requirement. Now i can able to create Excel file when i click the submit button, and hardcoded values r printing into excel.I achieved this using custom code(VSTA). I configured this by http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms173186(v=vs.80).aspx.

But now the problem is mapping the infopath form fields to excel. I have read this article http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/create-an-asset-tracker-solution-using-infopath-and-excel-HA010252195.aspx.

How can i transfer the data in infopath form to excel using any database (Access,SQL) as a intermidiatery b/w infopath & Excel.

I've achived this by using custom code option. I used VSTA for this. Now  the problem  is when  i'm publishing the infopath form 2007  to sharepoint sever 2010, its giving me the error like

"Infopath form cannot submit the form to webserver "http://............" make sure you have permissions to publish this form. Make sure you have logged on to this webbrowser.

 

please help me with this.
