Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm new at this please bare with me.

I created an infopath form in 2010 version and published it to say library A.  The form has 3 buttons, Submit, Update and Close and Close without Update.  A few Staff had filled out the form and they were captured in Labrary A.  Now our department just went through a restructure and I needed to copy these over to a new location say Library B so I went ahead and copied them over then change the data connection behind the buttons and plublished the form to Library B.  The staff then went in to update their entries and hit the "Update and Close" button to update the details but the form does not update in Library B, instead it updated the library A even though I have updated the library details behind the buttons.  I can't figure out why it's doing this? Any idea?

I also went and tested the form in the new library (B).  I was able to create new entry then went back in and updated it without any issue i,e. it saved in the correct location library B.  I'm a bit confused.

 You aren't stupid. InfoPath is confusing sometimes. The forms you copied (the XML) to library B are still "linked" to library A - in the XML, if you were to look at it in a text editor, you'd see the href was still pointed to library A. So when those XML are opened, they open with the form in library A. In library B, select the Relink view and you can relink the XML that were from A to B so that they open with the form in B (which submits to B). Hope that makes sense - please let me know if you need more detail.

THanks Hilary, I've just gone in Library B and relink all the docs to Library B but it's still doing the same thing.  The template link is still showing the old library.  any idea?

 Huh - so relinking didn't work? You selected them all and then clicked Relink in the ribbon (I'm attaching a screenshot)?

You can always open the XML in a text editor and change the href to match that of a form newly created in Library B.

Yes I did that but it doesn't seem like it's made any difference.  However, if I right click on the doc and select "Edit in Microsoft InfoPath" it will work.  I have about 100 docs and would not want to go in each doc to make the changes to the href.  I'm sure the relink function is a better way.  I might check with our IT guys and see if permission is an issue.
