Set Value to a List Item

    Hi All,

I am a new joinee to this forum and my new experiance to Infopath.I have been working on SharePoint from last 4 yrs,But this is the first time I am working on Infopath on office 365.

            I have two lists(List A,List B) , In List A there are columns (Name,Number,Adress,Status[Accept,Rejected],Email..etc) and in List B there are columns (Name,Number,EmailStatus[Accept,Rejected],StatusWorkFromHome..etc)

Here in the List A,When the status is set to Accept then all the values of List A Columns should be copied to List B.I am using Action to "Set Filed value" for the dropdown. But I don't find any action triggering when the Status is Set is Accept

Can any one help me what is the probelm and how can i solve it.Are is there any other way to do it.

    Thanks,

    Hi Sid,

    Welcome to the forum!

Rules will fire within a form. If you are using list forms (seems so), then you can't have one form run rules with actions that set field values in another form. That isn't going to work.

You could use Web part connectors to connect to list forms together and the rule could be to send the values from List A to List B but it won't copy repeating data.

You could create a data connection in List B that pulls values in from List A. That data connection query could be triggered on a web part connection but that also seems a bit convoluted.

Best way to integrate two forms is using InputParameters. Qdabra's qRules supports getting an input parameter. Based on that value, the List B could query List A and pull in the values.

Sorry I don't have an out-of-box bullet for ya.

    Best,
