1 Infopath form for multiple sharepoint lists

I have designed a form from an existing sharepoint list (named "1Q documents"), now I want to use that form for a separate list ("2Q documents") that has the same columns, but different row data. I'm new fairly new to sharepoint, and really new to InfoPath. Can this be done? Am I missing something?

    Hi OMG1376,

You can copy the view from one designer form to the other and rebind the fields. That's easy to do and will save you from having to recreate it.

Just select all and do a ctrl-c to copy it in the source form and then a ctrl-v to paste it in the target form.

Now, right click on the fields and choose Change Binding.

The rules won't copy, but the layout will and that should save you some time.

    Best of luck!
