Set Submit Button to send to a Library and a List

    Hi,

I have a IP2010 Library form that i would like to submit to both its main connection (the form library) as well as to a list within the SP2010 site.  Is there anyways to set the button so that when the user clicks submit, it actually sends the form to both places?  I've seen that you can submit to a library and a list via a list form, but I need to use the library form since I had code attached to it.  Otherwise, is there anyway to code on a list form template?  Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi-

You cannot add code to a SharePoint list form.

You can add code to a regular InfoPath form (published to a form library) so that it submits to a SharePoint list (in addition to the out of the box data connection to submit to the form library).

Here's one method: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/02/02/Add-SharePoint-List-Items-with-InfoPath.aspx (there may be other methods - quick Google search will find those)

qRules also includes a command (SubmitToSharePointList) which performs this action.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response, ErnestoM.  I've used the CAML template once before with success, but I noticed that all the examples that I found on it use single line of text fields.  In this form, I'll be using multiple field types (dates, dropdown list box, etc...).  Do you happen to know of a way to implement these field types into the CAML template?
