Purchase Order Workflow (Adding PO Number)

Hi everyone, I have created a purchase order form using infopath and have now published to sharepoint, when i open the form to be filled the user is promted to complete all the necessary fields i.e. Company, Part Number, costs etc etc. They then publish the form which starts the workflow sending it by email to our accounts office they review the order and attach a PO number to the form. I have a field on the form for the PO number is it possible to set this up as a task that prompts them to enter the PO number and it then poulates the field on the form and email the requestor that the form is approved.

    Hi DuaneM,

Are you saying you want to create a task in the SharePoint Tasks list and associate the workflow with that? If so, we did a webinar in January that showed this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oQ7QdpYdx8&feature=share&list=PL581899A129522F53

If you are instead trying to populate fields from an existing task, that's easy to. Just set up a REST data connection to the Tasks list and use a rule to ChangeRESTUrl (to the value you want to filter) and Query it.

    Best of luck!
