InfoPath Dev

I am trying to display the monthly totalsavings value of the rows from a secondary data connection based on the dropdown selections on my form. My problem is the total depends on 2 fields.check if use_adjustedvalues field is no then sum savings field else sum adjustment field.Is it possible to query each row and take that value from either field to total?  Any help would be appreciated.

 I'd use calculated values (expression boxes) - one with the value of each field - and hide the one you don't need based on conditional formatting using your checkbox. Does that make sense?
