Submit to DBXL From 2 Sources?

    HI there,

I have a form I've integrated into DBXL.  When I open it up by using the "URL to Form Template" I can submit to DBXL just fine.  I also want the form to be available on a file share and have it submit also.  When I test this by opening up my form on my C drive and submitting it, it doesn't seem to show up in the Documents list in DBXL despite a successful submit message. Is it possible to have multiple sources submitting to DBXL?

    Thx,

    R.

    Hi,

The problem you've encountered is the following:

    - When the form is opened from DAT, DBXL is able to automatically detect which doctype it belongs to, and therefore submits to that doctype.

    - The form, opened from a file share, is not connected to a doctype, though it has a DBXL submit data connection.

I believe the solution is to declare the doctypename in the submit data connection. Steps 2-3-4 in this document explain how to declare the doctypename.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Ernesto!  That solved the issue.
