    SaveToSharePoint setup help

I'm looking for a little help with my setup here.  The error string says, "Details: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."

My form is sandbox published on dev.mycompany.net/sites/FormSite

My library for saving attachments to is located on dev.mycompany.net/sites/RecordCenter

My CopyIntoItems Data Connection points to dev.mycompany.net/_vti_bin/copy.asmx but I've also tried dev.mycompany.net/sites/FormSite/_vti_bin/copy.asmx and dev.mycompany.net/sites/RecordCenter/_vti_bin/copy.asmx.

I've been able to successfully save attachments to a library on dev.mycompany.net/sites/FormSite but I get errors when I make changes to save to a library on dev.mycompany.net/sites/RecordCenter

    1) Any clarification on where exactly to point the copy.asmx connection would be helpful.

    2) I'm also wondering if anyone can provide clarification as to what "The InfoPath form and the SharePoint Document Library must live on the same machine" means and if that can be at all related to my issue.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Hi - when opened in the browser, qRules will use the SharePoint OM for some commands - I think that may be the issue you are running into here. Can you try setting the /QdabraRules/Form/@useBrowserApi field in the QdabraRules data source to false prior to executing the command and see if that prevents the error? Oh - and if you are using the copy web service instead, you may also need to set /QdabraRules/Form/@useWebServices to true - you may want to put those nodes on the form and changing those settings prior to executing your command, just while troubleshooting.

     Thanks Hilary.

So the combination to get past the error message is Use Browser Api = False and Use Web Services = True.

Now we get a security error: "Security settings on the server prevent the use of one or more data connections."

Our thinking now is that we need to export our CopyIntoItems as a connection file into our DCL and try getting through that way.

Yes, that seems like a good next step.

That did it.  Now we are passing attachments so fast the farm admin is going to think its a DDoS attack! ;)
