    Data Connections Not Populating

It's been a while since I've done any forms, particularly in 2007, so this is probably something simple that I have forgotten. Using IP 2007 and SP 2007. I've created a data connection to retrieve information using the GetUserInfo webservice. If I don't put in a Sample Value it give me an error saying that the login name can not be blank. I enter the login name, hit Next and complete the connection. When I preview the form I get an error message on the webservice that says " The parameter loginName cannot be empty of bigger than 251 characters. If I go back to the data connection and select Modify, the Sample Value field is now blank. What am I missing?

What you can do is, first make sure that your data connection does not automatically retrieve data on load. And then you'd add a form load rule that first sets the username parameter and then queries the data connection.
