Need Help woth a workflow triggering twice.

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to look here.

I am new to Sharepoint/Infopath and have taken over a project worked on by 2 ex employees.

What I'm finding is the workflow I believe is being triggered twice.

1.) A form is submitted to a forms library

2.) It "Somehow" gets associated to a different xsn and runs a workflow, i Think twice.

yoursite/Lists/Workflow History    is the default associated history list you can see the history and outcome more detailed info

And check each list setting if its firing off more than 1 list or ? more than 1 item is being created.

1.Workflow runs generally on the item level in your workflow  history you can see it only ran one instance. (per your imagur post)

2.)    You have an association form specified from your Imagur screens these are different than the workflow instance running (like if you started a workflow and initiated it with a form your Info path form - would specify an Initiation)

     http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms457061%28v=office.14%29.aspx

Three types of forms are used in SharePoint Foundation workflows:

Association and Initialization Forms   Association and initialization forms are displayed for users to fill out before any workflow is actually started. You can use these forms to enable users to set parameters and other information for the workflow before it starts.

For more information, see Workflow Association and Initiation Forms (Sharepoint Foundation).

Modification Forms   Modifications are options you present to users to change the workflow as it's running on an item. You can then create modification forms that enable users to specify the parameters of the modification.

For more information, see Workflow Modification Forms (SharePoint Foundation).

Task Forms   You can also specify custom forms for the tasks in your workflow. Because tasks are SharePoint items that are assigned a content type, however, the content type actually determines the custom forms used with the task type.

For more information, see Workflow Task Forms (SharePoint Foundation).

    3. It says your post it gets "Emailed" Twice ,   It is possible to get duplicate emails  but only one workflow instance was triggered.   For instance if you email yourself, then you have SPGroups or something with your name in it. The mailserver can do numerous things.

I figured out the answer to both, It is linked via Associated COntent Types and the Workflow History was hidden in view all site content, just navigating to the URL worked

Awesome the workflow history list is great for seeing the entire history log.
