Mutliple Selection List Box - Store text selection AND associated numeric value??? InfoPath 2010

    Good afternoon all!

I'm pretty new to InfoPath and I've run into a sticky situation.  My requirement is that I have a few multiple selection list boxes that use custom values, each selection holds a numeric value with a text display name in the control.  When users make their selections, the numeric values are to be summed and stored for later calculations.

Now my problem is that while I'm able to capture the multiple selections and obtain a sum for scoring purposes, I need to add a Summary view to the form that will display each option that the user selected IN TEXT FORM, basically display the text choices that the user selected, but the values that are stored in the data connection are numeric values.

Has anyone tried to do the same, or is this something that would need rules put in place?

    Thanks!

Well, I think you could do this if you used expression boxes (calculated values) to display the "text" from the secondary data source you use to provide values to your list box. I'm attaching a simple sample. Save it locally, right click and select design so you can preview and see how it is set up.

I am able to display with the calculated value field but I need the field to be promoted to the sharepoint list, in which case a calculated value field isn't bound to any field in the data connection.

Is there a formula to store the selections from the list box in a comma delimited format?  I've tried the double eval formula with concat but it isn't grabbing and removing values as needed and they aren't comma delimited, just concatenated to the end.

    Formula: eval(eval(group27, 'concat(../my:group27/my:field64, ", ")'), "..")

I put this formula as the default value for the field I want to hold the comma delimited selections.  The values are whole numbers if that helps.
